There are three polaries of MPO/MTP fiber optic Patch Cord - Type A, Type B and Type C.
Type A: Type A MPO/MTP fiber patch cord is a straight-through fiber patch cord with an MPO/MTP connector keyed up on one end and an MPO/MTP connector keyed down on the other end. This allows the fibers at both ends of the cable to remain in the same position.
Type B: Type B MPO/MTP fiber patch cord is a cross over fiber optic cable which use key-up connectors on both ends of the fiber optic cable. This type of array pairing results in fiber inversion, which means that the fiber positions are reversed at each end.
Type C (cross pair): Type C MPO/MTP fiber patch cord is a pair of adjacent fiber cores crossing positions. For example, the optical fiber at position 1 at one end is moved to position 2 at the other end of the cable. The fiber at position 2 at one end is moved to position 1 at the other end, and so on.
